The proper way to forward your extension to a different number.

As of 9/24/18, using the "always forward" function on the desk phone does not work.

 

Basic Version:

  1. Open the 3cx desktop app
  2. Click on the drop now arrow next to Available                                                   
  3. Hit the arrow next to "away"                                                                             
  4. Change the "Forward to:" to external number
  5. enter the forwarding number in the box below it.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for external calls.                                                              
  7. click OK
  8. Now click on Available again, and change it to Away.  Calls will now forward to the number specified in step 5.

Note that once you have completed the steps above, you can simply dial *31 to enable forwarding and *30 to turn it back off.
