you might see something like this:
When a new message is sent in, everyone will see the person (or phone number). When someone replies to a message or sends a new message only that person will see replies and the conversation until you click on the three dots next to number/name, then click on Dealt with:
If that is done, then next time someone with the same number messages it will once again go to the whole group until replied.
You can also transfer a person from you to someone else to help the user. Click as above and type the user or extension you would like to transfer the conversation to. (can be anyone with a extension)
Replying to a message
New messages will look like this:
Click on the user/number and near the bottom of the screen you will see “Say something”, type your reply and then press enter:
Once you reply, you are the only person that will communicate with that Phone number until you click Dealt with mentioned earlier.
Sending a new message
click on the + and then Send SMS:
Type the phone number you want to text and click Start Chat: (make sure you include the +1)
If below pops up, then Add the +1 And click ok
Near the bottom type your message and press enter:
Here is how things will look:
On the left side you can select the person you want to text with.
Final Notes
These functions are similar on the desktop app and phone app.
With the website and phone 3CX app you can start a new message and see pictures.
You cannot see pictures on the desktop 3CX app.
Desktop App - messages are in the middle or side:
3CX Phone app - chat is on the bottom left next to the Voicemail icon.
You will need to upload all the drivers contact information into your personal contact list if you want their names ahead of time. We have the excel file and have instructions for that.
Any new contacts you would like to add you need to include the +1 in front of the phone number, so the system associates it correctly.
